How have good (or bad) photos impacted the quality of your content?

by on November 1st, 2012

My fellow bloggers, how much time do you spend searching for a good image to put into your blog post? How long do you spend editing the image in Photoshop or Pixelator to get it just the way you want it? Do you eventually stop looking for quality and eventually settle for decent?

I spend about 30 minutes per blog post acquiring, editing and posting images for each blog post. That’s down from about an hour and it is thanks to the PhotoDropper WordPress plugin. Now I can search for creative commons images inside my WordPress post and can do most of the editing inside the WordPress Media section.

PhotoDropper is about to release a premium service where users can buy stock photos for the low price of $3 or less per image. I think this will lower my time spent searching for images even more and that’s $3 well spent.

What do you think? Let me know in the comments if PhotoDropper Premium is a plugin you’re interested in trying for finding the write image for your blog posts.
